Fudgy Cream Cheese Brownies

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons reduced-calorie stick margarine, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg white
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 (8-ounce) block 1/3-less-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup “measures-like-sugar” calorie-free sweetener
  • 3 tablespoons 1{95b42cb95d03c55cbcce4fb56d53af95c8664f32708916cee1604837e5422d61} low-fat milk
  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Now start beating combination of sugar and margarine at moderate speed until smooth and creamy. Start adding egg, egg white, and vanilla; while beating constantly, slowly add cocoa and flour. Stream into an 8-inch square pan coated with cooking spray.
  3. Keep beating cream, cheese and sweetener with a combination at high speed until fluffy. Pour milk while beating. Add cheese cream combination over chocolate combination; twist together using the edge of knife to create a marbled effect.
  4. Put it in an oven and let it bake for 30 minutes. Cool it and cut into squares.

Tip: Avoid using reduced-calorie or fat free tub margarine for this recipe to avoid gummy brownies, as these products contain water.
